Roderick & Claire’s motto: Each of our products is characterized by careful research and passion for both technology and materials. Design is all about skills: we have always loved a minimalist approach towards simple design matters.

Timeline:

1984: Roderick started studying as Industrial Designer at the Design Academy in Eindhoven, Netherlands.

1987: For his first trainee-ship he moved to Tokyo, Japan where he found an excellent tutor at GK Industrial Associates which was founded by Mr. Kenji Ekuan.

1987: For another trainee-ship he moved to Munich, Germany to work at Studio Ingo Maurer.

1990: Start of the design office “Studio Roderick Vos” together with his wife Claire Vos-Teeuwen. It is based in Nijmegen, Netherlands. The innovative couple has worked, and continues to work, in many fields e.g. Lighting, Textile, Accessories and Furniture for international brands such as Pode, Driade, Functionals, Moooi, Linteloo, Alessi, Indera, KLM or Koninklijke Tichelaar Makkum.

2018: Now, for the first time, he has cooperated with Rob Meijst as to the visual design of a speaker and look what they have come up with: The Nobilis Sonum Series, from Noble & Noble with love. Aren’t they beautiful? Aren’t they just right for the design-conscious music lover?

Over the past 25 years both commercial and limited series of design products have been realized by Roderick & Claire. Some of their works were acquired by prestigious museums such as Het Stedelijk in Amsterdam, Netherlands and the Design & Arts Museum in New York, USA.

Conclusion:

Roderick & Claire want to make you happy with beautiful products which are to be used in daily life. Products that are naturally beautiful, proper and genuine while oozing aesthetic pleasures
at the same time.
